By downloading, installing, or using PocketShock ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.
PocketShock is a receipt scanning and spending tracking application for iOS. The app allows users to photograph receipts, extract spending data, and view spending insights. All data processing and storage occurs locally on your device.
PocketShock does not require user accounts or registration. The app functions entirely on-device without server-side accounts.
PocketShock offers a free tier with limited daily scans and an optional "Pro" upgrade with additional features.
You agree to use PocketShock only for its intended purpose of personal spending tracking. You agree not to:
Your use of PocketShock is also governed by our Privacy Policy. All spending data is stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal financial data on external servers.
PocketShock uses optical character recognition (OCR) to read receipt data. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that scanned data will be 100% accurate. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting any scanned data before saving. PocketShock should not be used as your sole record-keeping system for tax, legal, or financial compliance purposes.
PocketShock is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PocketShock and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the app.
PocketShock is a spending awareness tool, not a financial advisory service. We do not provide financial, tax, investment, or legal advice. Any spending insights, comparisons, or commentary within the app are for informational and entertainment purposes only.
PocketShock and all associated trademarks, logos, and content are the property of PocketShock. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA).
PocketShock's in-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. Apple may collect data as described in Apple's Privacy Policy. No other third-party services are used for purchase processing or data collection.
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the app at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
