PocketShock ("we," "our," or "the app") is a receipt scanning and spending tracker app. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
When you scan a receipt, PocketShock extracts the following information:
All receipt data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. We do not upload, transmit, or store your receipt data on any external server. Your spending data never leaves your phone.
PocketShock requests access to your device's camera solely for the purpose of scanning receipts. Photos taken for scanning are processed on-device and are not stored, uploaded, or shared.
If you enable notifications, PocketShock may send local reminders to scan receipts and weekly spending summaries. These notifications are generated entirely on-device. No notification data is sent to external servers.
If you purchase PocketShock Pro, your purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. We do not use any third-party payment processors. We do not receive or store your payment information (credit card number, billing address, etc.). Your purchase status is verified on-device through Apple's StoreKit framework.
Settings such as your preferred currency, notification preferences, and achievement progress are stored locally on your device using UserDefaults. This data is not transmitted to any server.
PocketShock is distributed through the Apple App Store. In-app purchases are processed by Apple via StoreKit. Apple may collect data as described in Apple's Privacy Policy. PocketShock does not integrate any other third-party SDKs, analytics, or tracking services.
All your spending data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that store user data. Your data is protected by your device's built-in security features, including passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.
You can delete all your spending data at any time from within the app by going to Settings → Delete All Data. This permanently removes all receipts and spending data from your device. Since we do not store your data on any server, deletion from your device is complete and permanent.
Uninstalling the app will also remove all locally stored data.
PocketShock is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new privacy policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
